Daily Draw

Daily Draw Wednesday, 21 December 2016 Method: Original Rider Waite Smith Tarot. Card Drawn: The Emperor A couple of months ago, this card popped up three times in eight days, so here he is again on the Solstice, where the Oak King defeats the Holly King. Unlike the Tarot De Marseille decks, where the Emperor looks to the past, In this deck he is most concerned with the present and demands my attention. The throne clearly displays four ram’s heads, Aries, my rising sign. The Emperor holds a wand in the form of a sceptre and an orb. He represents by his pose, strength at rest. Armour can be seen under his robes, especially on his legs and feet. Although seated, he is clearly ready for action. The Emperor is the 4th Major Arcana card and the number 4 represents that material stability. The Emperor indicates wealth, so perhaps I should try the lottery? I said this last time and didn’t do it. I will today. However, The Emperor is with me today and he will grant me strength. I am taking this literally as Odin is watching over me. There may be some further interaction with authority if the Guardia Civil return about the way a neighbour’s dog is being ill-treated. I should maintain dignity and speak and act with the authority I have from being in the right.
