Daily Draw

Monday, 27 March 2017 Method: Anglo – Saxon Runes Rune Dawn: Sigel Anglo – Saxon Rune Poem: Sun is by seamen always hoped for When they fare away over the fishes’ bath Until the brine stallion they bring to land. The Od Norwegian Rune Rhyme: Sun is the light of the lands, I bow to its holiness. The Old Icelandic Rune Poem: Sun is the shield of the clouds and shining glory And the life-long sorrow of ice. This rune means the Sun, it also means victory. It can be a healing process beginning, seeing with greater clarity. The Icelandic verse says it is the life-long sorrow of ice. Ice is what binds and restricts, it is a breaking of chains, movement from inertia. Always hoped for by seamen so it could guide them home. Guidance and freedom are my watchwords today.
