Daily Draw Wednesday, 16 November 2016 Method: Russian Shakespearian Tarot Card Drawn: Macbeth - King of Swords The King of Swords is the ruler of the element of air. He is powerful and authoritative, he is a leader who makes decisions based on logic and rational thought. All Kings in tarot have an element of air, but being the King of Swords, he is all air. This makes me think of Odin. This card indicates someone assertive, who can be aggressive. He is willing and able to defend his realm and dispenses justice as he sees fit. The King of Swords represents the fixed air sign of Aquarius and his Major Arcana counterpart is The Star. Like Odin, he sits high in the sky, observing all and like Aquarius’ ruling planet Uranus, he can overturn old ways of thinking and establish new institutions to better serve his people. The King of Swords rules the third decan of Capricorn and the first and second decans of Aquarius. His domain is the eleventh house of the zodiac, which is social groups and causes. Today I am bucking against the system. The card shows a group of men and it is a group I’m concerned with today. I’m being torn in two directions and it’s likely the decision I am making will come back to haunt me, but I felt at a meeting last night that I was being manipulated and I don’t want to go along with things under the others terms and so I need to take a stand, even if I’m in the wrong. Yes if I remain heading this group, it will serve the community and save dogs lives, but the community has never backed me in anything and so it comes down to saving dogs lives or continuing to try and give my own dogs the best lives I can manage to give them by breaking a rule.
