Daily Draw Wednesday, 26 October 2016 Method: Tarot of the Spirit. Card Drawn: Mother Earth With this deck, I’m only looking at my spiritual state. There is something very comforting in the words “Mother Earth.” It gives a sense of comfort and security. A sort of everything is going to be fine type of card, yet at the same time disturbing because of the damage humans are doing to her and her patience must be at an end. I feel her pain and my feelings of compassion towards her creatures which every day are horribly tortured and murdered by our species consumes me and most days I feel anger and sorrow from what I see. How can I help turn it around? Why can’t people see past greed? Our beautiful planet from which we all spring and to which we all return, is recoiling from our horrors. There will be many more natural disasters as she seeks to rid herself of the vermin known as man. She knows how to use all the elements, air in the form of winds, water in the form of floods, fire as its own force to destroy what it can of humanity. Her compassion is for all life, not human above everything else. Were it not for us, her nature is kind and giving, she freely gives all every creature needs, yet man exploits her generosity and takes everything, including that which he should not. She will endure long after we are gone and I don’t think she’ll mourn our passing.
