Card Drawn: Eight of Pentacles Last drawn on Friday, 06 November 2015 using the Universal Tarot De Marseille and Saturday, 09 July 2016 using Steampunk Tarot. Eight of Pentacles. Pentacles are of the Earth element and associated with wealth and material things. The ability to provide for one’s self, establishing your comfort zone, or home. It may imply some sort of financial risk. It could be a good day to get a lottery ticket and as I won back what I spent last two times I drew this card I may do just that! The number eight means I have achieved some sort of expert level at what I do. That may be business, or it may relate to divination, as I also read professionally. However, I’m not good at business. The upside-down pentagram indicates that I’m not a particularly materialistic person anyway. In fact, it warns against losing your spirit in the material world and that is unlikely although the material world intrudes too much into my spiritual one. The female in the image appears vulnerable to attack by the snakes, yet she shows no fear and neither should I if attacked. The pillar itself represents human ambition and itself is broken. I no longer have any ambition, other than to get my pension and retire. All other ambitions were broken long ago and those days show themselves to me in dreams.
