Daily Draw Wednesday, 24 August 2016 Method: Tarot De Paris. Card Drawn: Seven of Cups Last drawn on Tuesday, 19 January 2016 using the Steampunk Tarot, Wednesday, 11 May 2016 using Zombie Tarot and Monday, 25 July 2016 using Tarot of the Spirit. Seven represents action in the world, it is the most active odd number in the deck and most powerful primary number. The Two Major Arcana cards it relates to is The Chariot and The Star. Unlike the Tarot De Marseille, this deck, which was created in the early 17th Century and is the oldest surviving example of a complete deck, has the cups arranged almost in a circle with one in the middle. The Tarot De Marseille have the cups in straight lines, although the same basic layout. There are still the four outer corner cups and a vertical line of three cups in the middle. The centre cup at the bottom seems to be spilling over a bit. It is creating my emotional world, influencing the inner and outer worlds. The other cups are receptacles for these emotions. As we go up the central column, the middle cup is closed, keeping emotions inward until reaching the top where they are shared. The overflowing blue liquid in the bottom cup, probably water, turns red at the top, not blood I think, but wine. Bearing in mind the Christian symbology of these cards, this represents water into wine, or transformation of emotional energy. A possible outpouring of love. The circular layout of the cards though indicates a natural emotional stability and like all things in nature, a cyclical pattern.
